Michael Northcutt’s practice primarily focuses on environmental law.  Mr. Northcutt has been practicing environmental law since 2004.

Prior to coming to work for Crain, Caton & James, Mr. Northcutt worked as an environmental attorney with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (“TCEQ”) in the water quality section.  Mr. Northcutt’s primary focus was on water quality permitting matters. Mr. Northcutt regularly represented the Executive Director of the TCEQ before the TCEQ Commissioners, and at contested case hearings before the State Office of Administrative Hearings.  Additionally, Mr. Northcutt was the designated attorney on several rulemaking matters concerning water quality.
