Experience
Geoffrey P. Kirshbaum (Associate) joined Crain, Caton & James, P.C. in early 2005 after practicing environmental law at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for several years. Mr. Kirshbaum’s responsibilities at TCEQ included representing the Executive Director and program staff in administrative proceedings before the Commission. Mr. Kirshbaum’s practice focuses on both federal and state environmental law, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, RCRA, and corresponding Texas statutes and regulations. Mr. Kirshbaum counsels clients on regulatory compliance and permitting issues in connection with these laws. Mr. Kirshbaum also assists in defending clients involved in federal and state enforcement actions, and with the defense and prosecution of private party environmental and toxic tort litigation.
