Kristin N. NecessaryAssociate ExperienceKristin N. Necessary joined Crain, Caton & James in August 2005. Ms. Necessary represents executors and will beneficiaries in probate proceedings, and also litigates will contests and suits against trustees for breaches of fiduciary duty. Ms. Necessary has appeared as an ad litem in mental health commitment proceedings and is certified by the State Bar of Texas to serve as an ad litem in guardianship proceedings. Ms. Necessary’s practice also includes the preparation of estate plans for a wide variety of clients, including the drafting of wills, ancillary documents such as powers of attorney, various trusts used in tax planning, and private annuities. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Necessary served as a briefing attorney to the Honorable Justice Dale Wainwright of the Texas Supreme Court. She now uses insights gained from that experience to craft appeals in Texas courts.
