Experience

Jonathan Bickham focuses on international business transactions, particularly in Latin America. In complex transnational commercial transactions and joint ventures, he helps companies structure and negotiate their investments both in the United States and abroad. In 1987 and 1990, Mr. Bickham served as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center.

Representative Experience

  • Represented Mexican energy projects development company in the establishment of a limited partnership joint venture with a New York based U.S. investment firm.
  • Represented a Mexican publicly traded company in the sale to another Mexican publicly traded company of a 100% interest in a Mexican foundry company.
  • Represented a Mexican publicly traded company in the acquisition from its Norwegian partner of a joint venture interest in a Mexican foundry company.
  • Represented a Mexican publicly traded company in the establishment of a joint venture company with a major U.S. equipment manufacturer to build, own and operate a manufacturing plant in Mexico.
  • Represented a Scottish company in the sale of a U.S. subsidiary to a U.S. energy company.
  • Represented a Mexican company in the sale to a U.S. investment bank of a disposable tableware products company.
  • Represented a Mexican publicly traded company in the acquisition of the water heater division of a U.S. publicly traded company.
  • Represented a U.S. energy company in the sale of its stake in a Brazilian electric utility company to a U.S. energy company and a French energy company.
  • Represented a U.S. energy company in the sale to another U.S. energy company of an Argentine electric distribution company.
