Tricia Atchison is a banking and finance attorney with over 15 years of real-world experience as a banker in the financial industry. Prior to joining Crain Caton & James, her positions ranged from a credit analyst to chief credit and risk officer. She understands the nuts and bolts of banking. Fascinated by the many laws and regulations guiding the financial industry, Tricia decided to attend law school. Her practical and firsthand experience adds a unique benefit to the Firm’s banking clients.
Tricia is highly skilled in lending, credit administration, loan portfolio management, risk analysis, regulatory compliance, client services, team leadership/training, project management and problem solving. She is comfortable collaborating with individuals from the teller line to board room. She has made loan decisions, lead the credit component of periodic external financial audits, loan reviews and regulatory examinations, and manage adversely classified loans through litigation or liquidation processes. Her concrete experience and law degree position her to give clients practical advice based on the laws and regulations of the financial institution.
