Liz Webb focuses her practice on environmental law and environmental litigation. Her practice includes client counseling and judicial litigation in Superfund enforcement actions at both the federal and state level.

Liz also counsels clients regarding the application of environmental regulations to facility operations and in real estate transactions involving environmental matters.


  • Representation of the U.S. subsidiary of a Chilean company in its $289 million acquisition of all of the equity securities in an Illinois-based company that owns and operates a chain of truck stops and convenience stores located primarily in the Midwest and Texas, including handling all due diligence with regard to environmental issues for more than 38 sites across the country and negotiating the environmental provisions of the relevant transaction documents
  • Currently representing a multi-state manufacturing company regarding CERCLA litigation and administrative matters in California and Indiana
  • Represented BP Energy Partners regarding the environmental due diligence related to its sale to I Squared Capital of Pinnacle Midstream LLC, a provider of crude and natural gas gathering, natural gas processing, and related midstream solutions in the Delaware portion of the Permian Basin of West Texas
  • Served as special Texas counsel for environmental due diligence for a client on a $414 million project financing of its acquisition of a 100.2 MW solar power project near San Antonio, Texas
  • Represented a Texas-based regional bank regarding environmental due diligence for a loan for an oil pipeline and terminals
  • Represented a client regarding the application of Mississippi landfarming requirements to reserve pit fluids
  • Served as local counsel for an investor in a former federal facility; assisted the client in understanding the application of Texas environmental laws and regulations to the transaction
  • Assisted a major tire manufacturer in a CERCLA lawsuit brought by the United States seeking reimbursement of costs and an injunction for defendants to remediate the site; assisted in developing and evaluating the remedies proposed to the court and participated in creating an allocation scheme to allocate costs at the site
  • Assisted a client in reviewing fuel purchase agreements in connection with the multi-million dollar acquisition of a wholesale motor fuel distribution business
  • Counseled a client regarding Non-Operating Working Interest Owner potential liability under Oklahoma and Louisiana environmental laws and regulations
  • Represented a client in all aspects of an environmental investigation at a federal Superfund site, including coordinating group activities in negotiating a settlement with EPA and drafting contracts to engage technical consultants
  • Represented a client in challenging the proposed listing of a site on the National Priorities List
  • Assisted in the representation of a major chemical manufacturer in conducting a Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study at a federal Superfund site
  • Assisted a resort hotel client in developing an environmental sustainability program
  • Assisted clients in appealing administrative orders issued by the Texas Department of Environmental Quality
  • Assisted clients in the application of the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures regulations to facility operations
